In Odessa, Mo right off the highway is a beautiful wedding venue that has everything you might need as a couple. My AWESOME couple Bobbie and Jacob literally planned the perfect day. They first met back in 2014 in Independence, Mo at a restaurant bowling night.. you see they both worked at BBQ joints.. the staple to Kansas City, MO. They had their daughter in 2016 and got engaged in 2020 and married on August 21, 2021!

They both love to spend time outdoors and it was no question when they opted to have their ceremony outside at Berry Acres. Leading up to their wedding day the weather had been questionable but they had a game plan in place and it turned out they wouldn’t need it. The sun was shining, there was not a cloud in the sky and the smiles, laughter and tears were flowing and the sunset that day on the HILL was absolutely stunning.

FOUR THINGS TO DO THE NIGHT BEFORE AND THE DAY OF YOUR WEDDING

1. Beauty Rest: ALWAYS do your best to get a good night’s sleep. I know the excitement and nerves might be running high. But trust me when I say to try your best to be in bed by 11. Watch a rom com, read a book and just take that time for some “me time”.

2. EAT BREAKFAST AND LUNCH on your wedding DAY! I mean this should go without saying… I have shown up to a wedding and realized that the bride had NO breakfast or lunch and I rectified this situation to have Jimmy John’s deliver just outside of their boundary. ( It was the closest delivery joint). This is a perfect task to ask your key wedding party folks to arrange for the day of or call your local Panera or Grocery Store and have a few trays delivered to your getting ready location.

3. DELEGATE: If you are like me and you like to do all the things yourself…. it is the perfect opportunity to hire a day of coordinator or if that isn’t in the budget ask your wedding party to do those tasks..

4. MAKE SURE YOU SCHEDULED TIME FOR YOU AND YOUR BOO on the day of your wedding. This is one thing most couples forget to do or think they do and then forget. You simply need to remember that your day is about YOU TWO! It’s important to always make time for you and your partner. Your photographer or coordinator should be able to help you with this. We always strive to build in time after first looks, during sunset and during your couple photos part of the day. Your day goes by so fast.. you have to make sure you have time to savor it too.
