North Avenue Beach Family Vacation Session
I just moved back to Northern Illinois right in arms reach of Chicago and I have been loving every minute of it. From being so close to North Avenue Beach and Lake Michigan to being able to enjoy the hustle and bustle of city life. I have yet to have a day where I didn’t love being back in Illinois.
I know I have been a strong advocate of getting your photos done while on vacation and I was able to do that for a family while they were taking their summer vacation right at North Ave Beach. We planned the session for the day they arrived- so as not to throw off any of their epic Chicago plans. This sweet family of four from the KC area was so excited to be in the city and not to mention right on the beach. We played in the water a little before our session as we waited for the sun to move just a smidge and then we headed off to capture all of the things along Lake Michigan’s coast.
WHY DO I LOVE NORTH AVE BEACH SO MUCH? ESPECIALLY FOR PHOTOS……
One of the many things I love about this location is its proximity to all things Chicago. It is right next to Lincoln Park which if you were booking a longer session would be the perfect second location for a little bit of nature but also city. If you are planning your session for the summer time I love that Castaway’s Bar and Grill is right there and now there is even an awesome Greek inspired restaurant Avli pop up with the BEST watermelon salad ever!
Another great thing about North Ave Beach is that you get the best of both worlds.. the skyline meets Lake Michigan.. Two of my absolute favorite things.
If you are wanting to book your session here there is parking close by but it is pricey but there are a few spot hero spots just a hop skip and jump away.
